2012 - a conclution!

This has been a great year for us when it comes to finished projects. Looking back, a few categories are defined (it´s odd how one seem to do the same projects over and over, but in different shapes.) Feel free to surf around on previus posts on the blog, but here comes our favourites:

Most proud of

Alinda: Of course my Chickadee - that I bought the book Little Red in the city by Ysolda, read it, made all the messuring and worked myself through the pattern, line by line. It´s my masterpiece!

Lotte: My lace shawls: here, here and here. I´m happy with all three of them, they turned out beautiful.

Forgot I made it:

Alinda: The Shawl  I made this summer. Turned out that I am allergic to the yarn and got red marks all over the neck from it.

Lotte: My small handbag. I really like it but I made it after my summervacation when I really could have needed it. It´s a common problem of mine, I start projects too late and my crochet bikinis are ready in November and my winter mittens are ready in May.

Best gift I made this year:

Alinda:  Definitely the baby blanket for my niece Lily that was born in September! And my boyfriends christmas gift last year.

Lotte: One of the lace shawls where a gift to my mother, I was glad to give away a well done project.

One year - what did I learn?

Alinda: I learned alot about the art of knitting by reading `Little read in the city`. I learned how to do the blocking properly of a finished garnment. I found out that Litet nystan really is my favourite yarnstore and that listening to podradio is great! I also found out, which I knew already, that Lotte is my best friend and I can´t find a better crafter to team with! All love to you!

Lotte: I learned, again, that stuff, plans and projects are better done than perfect! I learned projects are easily finished working stitch by stitch, and not letting the size and time taking be an obstacle. I learned we can run a blog to share a burning interest all year around despite full-time works, two kids each, a home to run and a zillion other demanding and/or fun stuff to do. 

Dreams of 2013:

Alinda: 2013 I want to do another garnment from Little red in the city, perhaps Laika and from Raverly:  Color affection and Still light tunic.

Lotte: I dream of more finished projects. 2013 is more doing than dreaming for me, I hope. I want to develop my sock skills, I need a new hat for spring, I want to make more gifts instead of buying stuff and I really want to make a lovely sweater. And I want more of you, A!

The year 2012 started with a wedding on new year´s eve for one of us and ended with an engagement for the other. Love rules! Happy new year and hope to see you soon in 2013!
